Best Boards Conference

The Best Boards Conference is an annual, one-day conference designed to help nonprofit board members and staff work together more effectively. Offered each spring, the program is valuable to both new and seasoned board members and nonprofit executives. The conference features sessions from experts in the field along with relevant, quality content to take back to participants' organization.

Board Chair Essentials

In this one-day course, gain a critical understanding of the chair’s role and expectations, discuss leadership challenges and become familiar with practical tools for success. Designed for board chair-elects, first-time board chairs and experienced chairs assuming the role at a different organization, this course helps you develop a personal plan to address challenges you may face in your new role.

Board Fundraising

This one-day course is designed for board members to learn about aspects of fundraising responsibilities including cultivation, solicitations, stewardship, evaluating development success, engaging consultants and best practices to oversee a fundraising operation.

Emergency Succession Workshop

This hands-on workshop equips nonprofit organizations with the processes, practices and tools they need to ensure continuity of operations and programming while they make longer-term plans to manage an absence or transition.

Framework for Succession Planning

This overview session, designed for board members and executive staff, lays the groundwork for successful succession planning

Planned Succession Workshop

Designed for board members and key staff to attend, ideally together, this interactive workshop walks through the elements of succession planning. Participants will leave with a draft of a succession plan that they can take back to their organizations for feedback and implementation.
